I'm confident in the long game too with DCN being my largest single holding currently in my superannuation fund and a decent part of my portfolio outside. I guess most people would probably consider me a lunatic for holding a developing gold company in a super fund, but I think I understand the risks.
Holding it in super does frame my approach in that I am constantly aware of risks that could knock the share price. I also like to trade around a position. That's why I look a lot at quarterly reports a lot. Sometimes it causes me to jump too quickly out of stocks but I try to protect profits as a main priority in my super fund.
Agree whit your view on A$ gold but I think domestic factors will be more important going forward than 'commodity currency' factors. We're pretty much seeing this already with iron ore at 4 year highs but the currency near decade lows.
