No HDF products mentioned, but not too sure how old the page is though. The floating floor product "Unilin" in the link above was what I was referring to in the previous posts.

For bamboo horizontal/vertical gloss/semigloss HDF 8mm and 12mm laminates both in natural/coffee colours, there are competitors out there. Most products are fantastic to install and end-result finishes are above client expectations with most suppliers constantly selling out before container arrivals. Batch colour variations are also minimal.

If style could compete in this market through their "compressed" range of colours, things could turn around for them imo but they might not know if this steps away from their eco-friendly push.

Also there is no such thing as a "liscenced installer". No regulatory nor govt authority issues any such trade qualifications - in Australia anyhow. Carpentry is the closest and most chippies won't dont touch the stuff.

As someone pointed out to me once a hairdresser needs to do a 4year apprenticeship before they can act on $15 haircut. A timber/bamboo floor installer only needs a few tools before they can carry out a $30,000 job. Scary stuff. But this affects all flooring companies though.

The weak building market in the US/Aust will continue for a little longer yet imo

Style also reported to have 300,000sqm of inventory that have future majority of "expected orders" for around Sept/Oct from memory. That seems a misleading statement to me. Exactly what is an expected order - has a deposit been paid on it by the purchaser, or have some people just said "I like it but I'll get back to you around Sept/Oct and place an order".
