Why is the only gauge Polar Bears? Why not take a look at the penguin, or green turtle numbers? or the high numbers of diminishing species around the globe which can be attributed to GW?
This exercise of posting one article and then someone else posting a contrary article is so pointless. The first thing which needs to be done is identify reputable sources based on facts, and compare what they say. I think National geographic is science/research based?
