There are a lot of mines and a number of watercourses around Tennant Creek.
A good splash of 100mm of rain will stir up these washouts.
There are a couple of creeks south of town near the old Austral mine where panning
has good returns.
North near Warrego, the same.
The bush will come alive with fossickers while the water lasts.
