RIO – Winu Discovery

·        RIOhas announced the much anticipated Winu discovery in the Paterson Province ofWA.

·        Inan Exploration Update, separate from the Company’s Full Year Results, RIO hasdetailed its 8 RC and 20 diamond hole program for 13,286m.

·        Theassays results at a 0.2% Cu (or 0.2g/t Au) cut-off are impressive in terms ofsheer size and depict potential for a large tonnage, low grade deposit from~50m below surface.

·        Drillhighlights include:

o   763m@ 0.44% Cu, 0.65g/t Au & 2.88g/t Ag from 46m, which equates to 763m @ 1.36g/t AuEq(assuming 100% recoveries and payabilities)

o   499m@ 0.4% Cu, 0.2g/t Au & 2.33g/t Ag from 276m (1g/t AuEq)

o   472m@ 0.43% Cu, 0.35g/t Au & 2.69g/t Ag from 215m (1.12g/t AuEq)

·        RIOhas said the mineralisation is vein style copper, gold and silver beneath relativelyshallow cover which ranges from 50m to 100m. From the cross sections themineralisation appears to be hosted in metasediments; so we’re looking at apotentially large sediment hosted orebody.

·        Results have beenreceived on four lines over 1km of strike, appears to have a 500m width andremains open at depth and to the east, north and south.

·        Winu looks to havethe makings of a largescale mine but it is still early days with drillingongoing and a maiden resource still to be declared.

We anticipate juniorswithin the Paterson to trade well in the coming days, .....
