I would highly recommend you learn a bit more about how markets work. Shorters don't ruin your stocks. If a stock has attracted a lot of shorting it means there is something already there indicating, to those prepared to do the research, that the price might head down. Blaming shorters for what happens to your investments is like blaming the worms for all the dead people in cemeteries.

What's happening to all your stocks is you're buying the hype without checking out the counter-evidence. Or you're just expecting results in too short a time-frame. Without shorters, investment bubbles would be even more common, and people would stand to lose potentially even more.
