The performance shares are considered a threat but I believe this is largely unfounded. The performance shares already exist, just they cannot be traded yet. Firstly I consider there is a good chance that we will be bought out before we get to that stage, but if not I believe the future potential of the fast growing resource is such that a lot of the Keras shareholders will want to take a very long-term stake in the company, and not be looking to sell them. The most important thing is that the long-term price of gold at the moment looks brilliant. Lynette Zang, an Economist from the US, believes that the proper price for gold in the US has now topped USD 9000 per oz. The IMF is to launch the SDR (Special Drawing Rights) soon and then no country will need to use the US dollar to buy commodities in which case the dollar is bound to devalue. Then maybe we will see the proper price for gold.
