Hot Copper has reinvented itself recently. It is instructive to review its nature and behaviour to understand it from posters viewpoint. HC rules make it transgressive to criticise it so it is impossible to articulate a complete analysis of posters reality here.

What may be said is posts are made anonymously without responsibility. Unless someone is an I.T. expert with ability to trace posts ( it has been tried by CTP ) the only risk for aggressive posters is " moderation ".

Posters financial / psychological / emotional / knowledge / experience are widely scattered. Writing skills vary noticeably and it is obvious some are much more ( hopefully ) skilled at speaking rather than writing. Curt, blunt, tactless, incomplete, unexplained, non-contextual, angry, reactive, playing the man and not the ball, misspelt posts are common. Concrete thinkers ( particularly good with maths ? ) seem to have the biggest, if not impossible, task of being able to to develop logical thinking for wider scenarios. Rare analytic detailed substantial insightful posts are refreshing.

Malevolent posters are frustrated by HC rules and explore ways of subverting them. Talking off point is a way of drawing attention from unliked material. Posting irrelevancies is another way of disrupting dialogue. " Liking " favoured posts and ignoring logical relevant posts on same topic is an indirect way of assaulting posters. Dismissing posters is another tactic. Using apparently polite words like " sell if you don't like it " is another means. Asking " dorothy dix " questions ( insincere with no intention of responding / following up ) recurs - when all else fails report to moderator.
No doubt i am only touching the surface of these endless many ploys.

Posters who behave like rats are rats. Recognise their dark tactics, put them aside for future reference, focus on legitimate company analysis,
render them irrelevant with persistent logic relevance and persistence.

Anyone for more CTP 249d"s and / or salary strike at AGM ? Yes please !
