I'm glad that you qualified that, Wod. I wouldn't like people to get the wrong idea. (Riidge is much too old for me).

There was just so much good news at the AGM, it is hard to identify one single item. However, the obvious one is that the CDC Guidelines for use of QuantiFERON-Gold will be published on 30th December. The exceptionally good news is that they are much better than we had hoped. Essentially, QuantiFERON-Gold is now endorsed by the CDC as a replacement for skin testing in ALL SITUATIONS. (No exceptions). Given the recognised lower cost, greater accuracy and convenience, it is a lay down mizere that, now that everyone is given the choice, they will migrate to QuantiFERON-Gold testing. Finally, the 120 year old skin test that everyone hates will be consigned to history.

NICE (the UK authority with powers similar to CDC) have now made the statements "Nobody is to be treated for TB without first having a QuantiFERON-Gold test" and "QuantiFERON-Gold testing is ALWAYS of a lower cost than skin testing"

The Swiss authorities have also stated that "Nobody is to be treated for TB without having a QuantIFERON-Gold test"

Slovenia (a stuningly beautifull country, populated by beautifull, intelligent and wonderfull people) has gone one step further and recommended the total cessation of skin testing and replacement with QuantIFERON-Gold testing"

It goes on and on but the essential fact is that THERE ARE NOW NO BARRIERS STOPPING CELLESTIS FROM BECOMING BOTH A HUGE MEDICAL AND COMMERCIAL SUCCESS.

I don't believe that there is another biotech on the ASX that has all of the pieces of the puzzle in place as CST does. The real beauty is that, just at the moment, this is still rated a speculative stock by the fundies, brokers and instos which still gives the mug punter the opportunity to get in ahead of the game and reap the huge rewards that will come as all of the good news turns to escalating sales, starting now.
