As far as I can see, Elleburra did not draw any such link; rather, he was (correctly) pointing out that gross profit on sales, and net profit of the company, are not identical. Malta's otherwise excellent presentation of the present situation of CST did inadvertently use gross profit to calculate EPS, rather than net profit, and Elleburra was, very politely, pointing this out.
As Malta has shown, CST is agonizingly close to making a big splash on the world scene. The story is good enough as it is. We really don't need to twist anything, and possibly end up with some aggrieved shareholders, claiming they were misled.
