Skint, I had only access to the abstract and limited understanding of iron metabolism. I would think that Dr. Bush or Senna could have been discussing about this in the paper or at least perhaps when discussing with Prana management and the new "Teva team".
These possible discussions have taken place already in the summer. This paper was first sent for publication on the 3rd of September and so the results have been ready at least few months before September. So when Prana in June and July presented their new "Teva"- team ( Stamler,Kerr, Bradbury) and expected their presentation and the early results in MAS animal model to be price sensitive, they most likely already at time knew these human results.
As I have presented here according the Huang XT et al paper ( Oct 31st, 2018 ) the overload of iron hampers complex I and citric acid cycle and increases fission of mitochondria, all hampering energy production, just the thing observed in this human 5 year follow-up study in humans. Finkelstein's PBT434 paper does not tell anything more specifics and IMO all what was found in the PBT434 paper can be explained by the very evident effect of PBT434 on the mitochondria.

But as I have many times told here Prana has not told that PBT434 improves the function of mitochondria and so energy supply of the nerve cells. " The Teva team" is possibly behind this trading halt, most likely they want to demonstrate how to get things done. Until now their activity has done nothing but reduced the value of Prana on the market.

Only my speculation ! However interesting times ! I think that we will get not only bad or good news but both.
