"The original gas discovery, Malolos 1,was drilled in 1960 to a total depth of 2700m.Some 15 drill stem tests were conducted and the most promising results came in the form of strong gas shows from 2 zones within a thick interbedded sand/shale sequence. The upper zone located at 816-834m below surface produced some 5mmscf/d while the lower zone, located at 1847-1860metres produced 12.6mmscf/d If a flow rate of 17mmscf/d were to be sustainable, this amount would be sufficient to supply a 40MW power plant"
It should be noted that drill stem test results have not been able to be confirmed by GGX as charts were not available.
Fingers crossed that the current testing can subtantiate something like the original "reported "flow rates which were prolific, but there was little demand for gas at time.
Cheers.
