Lol well that info-graphic is clearly biased. Not many Brines are producing for less than $3,000/tonne. Let's be honest. Even SDV is forecast higher than that and by all accounts it will be quality asset. There will be many marginal brine players way higher than that range.
On the flip side, hard rock producers are expected to be able to produce 6% spod for between $200-300/tonne. Accepted conversion is 8:1 and spod to LCE is stated at around $1,500 production cost. As such the range for a hard rock operation is $3,100-$3,900. Again marginal producers will be more expensive.
It isn't a like for like comparison if you take the sale price of spod at say $700 and give LCE production costs of $7,100 for example.
Also hard rock mines are much simpler from a technical standpoint which allows greater surety of supply and costs.
