nathan look at AAM or AXM if you want to see what can happen when trying to re-open gold mines. These coys have lost 90% of their SP.
The gold intercepts could be quartz vein hosted. These are typically narrow (0.1-5 m) fairly high grade occurences with a lot of waste in between. These viens can have all sorts of different orientations and be hard to map with drilling and so often mean a lot of low grade material needs to be treated to ensure all quatz viens are captured. I am not aware of the nature of the deposits, but based on the SP and the drilling information above I can guarantee you the deposits are far from homogenous.
