No need to panic. Whatever the outcome the detriment was for the lankans. A company like mrf will be backed as it is beneficial on all scales for sri lanka -
1. A commodity that is increasing in importance. Potential to put SL on the map as it does tea exports and labour.
2. Moral business which is important in religiously influenced regions. A certain j packer was sent packing and told never to return as buddhist monks opposed the casino initiative. Government, even as authoratarian as previous regime buckled.
The only caveat is to mrf to work within the SL business and political culture and not get involved in scandals. That is one thing politicians will do - target the foreigners and sensationalise to appeal to the nationalists (wrong imo but reality).
Now all mrf needs to do is to actually deliver on production.
