Mac are realising their profits seems to be the most obvious. Other reasons for leaving? May not want to be involved in a takeover, may see better value elsewhere? Are they invested in B2G? Geopolitical risk? Maybe they only hold their investments for a few years. WAF would not have been a large part of their overall business.
I guess the new entity saw value for money (gold bulls?) Easier to buy 7% in one hit than in dribs and drabs on market. Are they now averaging down?
The sale does seem to have spooked the shareprice and some big sell volumes have gone through in the past few weeks......
