China dumping USD = Global Turmoil
What it really means is the Chinese economy's growth rate is tapering, allbeit from a very high base. As their infrastructure-led GDP falls and they move to a more internally (domestic demand) driven economy, and with the massive developing middleclass generating cost push inflation, they need to ensure that they remain competitive in the export market. Easiest way to do that? Ensure their local currency remains weak against their export trading peers.

Global Turmoil = Investment in Disruptive Commodities...
Nasa, please provide some historical evidence that "global turmoil" - whatever that actually means - leads to investment in disruptive commodities. I've shown previously that gold has relatively low LT correlation to any of the major global benchmarks, such as interest rates, oil, etc. I also pose to you the question of how trillions of dollars of treasury monies could possibly find enough liquidity in metals like graphene (which, unlike gold, doesn't even have a synthetic futures market) to provide a substitute effect for USD, Yen etc.

All sounds a bit overjealous and highly impractical; not to mention ignoring all evidence.
