Here's my take on the quote and you can replace certain words with CPV wherever you wish.

I've got this idea. You purchase a ticket and included in your ticket is the ability to win various amounts of money.
Like everything else in life there are no guarantees but we have done our financial modelling and if certain things fall into place it is feasible.
We'll also give you the option of a license agreement or the ability to sell this product for which you will get paid a small rake off.
There will be a dribble down effect to us as we also have expenses and I suppose the dribble down effect might be negotiable because if we make it too high it will push up the final price to make it non viable.
Now the success of this product will be incumbent on us first of all showing proof of the idea actually working at a cost viable basis to all parties and of course the hope that no one gazumps the technology and idea.
