Your confusing the manufacture of the PV glass with its assembly into the panel. The manufacture of the glass is specialised both as to the materials used (incorporating nano particles) and the reflective layers.

The videos show the specialised glass glass being installed into the PV frame, and then additional panes put on either side. This makes the triple glazed panel, as referred to on p.26. They are not laminated. Triple glazing has gaps between each pane - which make for excellent insulation. But expensive construction.

i suspect that this construction method is to protect the reflective layers, which are probably easily damaged. Otherwise why not just use the specialist glass by itself? You could check that with the company next time you call them.
