You are factoring the cost of the Frame as well, at Retail prices.

The Low E type window, was already factored into the Coast of a Building for the Aircon and heating savings by using Low E Glass. if your paying China Prices for it then Low E Glass would be a no brainer on its own even for Australia considering the cost to heat in Melbourne and the Cost to Aircon in Brisbane etc.

So for a Sunny Location, a Low E grade of Glass means you can put Glass where previously you wouldnt have because normal glass would be too hot, and on Cold Days would chill the room too much.

So if your using Low E anyway, why not get PV Power as well, to pay off the PV componant in 5 years, and over the next 20 yrs therafter pay off the rest of the Window cost.

So if you built entirely out of this Glass for say an indoor Public Pool. The entire glass structure could be paid off by the power savings running the pool over 25 years. = Almost a free structure, who wants a free structure, Noone ?? Really
