Comparable is the word here, talking about the amount of IR and UV the glass lets through.
We aren't talking comparisons though we are talking about the size of the panels.
I don't need to know how they make it, the IP on the film is their business.
So to answer your question, if I was to order a ClearVue sheet of glass I would order your example of 3.6m x 2.4m and lets make it 3.6 high x 2.4 wide, in one external frame so we have an uninterrupted view through the glass.
I'm fitting this to an external shopfront facing North and it will get a great amount of sun most of the day.
There is a footpath for public foot traffic starting at the external lease line.
No awning or window cover outside to maximise sun exposure.
Glass starts from FFL,
It is four edge supported so this will make it easier for the wind pressure rating.
I have had the opening structure and header above engineer approved to take this size glass panel.
You have 150mm all 4 sides to fit the frame to.
Once fitted I will need a letter from the glazier on company letterhead that it meets or exceeds AS1288.
