Clearvue will collect a Royalty rate per square meter of Glass Sold by the licenced distributers.
Also Clearvue will sell the PV edge strips to the Manufacturers of the Clearvue PV Glass.
So Clearvue will attain revenue from these sources, The $ amounts are not disclosed because each future Licence deal and terms will no doubt be disclosed privately, so the exact terms of each deal will remain private so they can freely negotiate deals with distributers in each Country.
Clearvue PV Glass has the World leading technology for PV glass to be used in new Construction. Its the only designated and Building approved PV Clear Glass in the World as far as I know.
There is other PV Glass tech, but they are not approved as a building material,
Clearvue is seeking USA and World Building standards Approval
As far as estimating the revenue to Clearvue, its best to first consider the current flat glass sales per year.
Currently about 100 million metric tons of flat Glass is sold World wide per year at a cost of about 70 Billion USD per year.
The Plan by Clearvue is for most of that Flat Glass sales to be PV solar Glass within 10 years.
Clearvue seems to currently be the only PV glass in the World with a Building standards approval.
Sure there will be other Players in the future, but I would think that most of the these Glass makers would want access to a licence to be able to make and sell Building Approved PV glass as well.
The Margin Royalty to clearvue is per sqm of Glass, yet currently about 100 million metric tons of flat glass is sold World Wide,
If the average glass sold is 5mm thick, then the current World Wide Flat glass sales is about 20 Billion Square meters of flat Glass sold World Wide per year. Or 100 million Metric Tonns.
Clearvue Hopes that within 10 years, Most flat glass sold World Wide will be PV Glass.
So to estimate Clearvue Revenue, or potential Revenue, you would have to base that on what pecentage of Flat Glass Will be PV Glass in 1 year, 2 years, 3 years etc etc.
And then what percentage of that will be Clearvue PV Glass in Sqm sold per year.
Then attribute an estimate of the royalty rate per sqm in $ dollars per sqm times the square meters sold per year.
So if in 10 years time Clearvue was 5 % of world wide Flat glass sales of 25 Billion Sqm = 1.25 Billion sqm.
If Clearvue was making a royalty per sqm of (My estimate) $30 per sqm then its $37.5 billion in Royalty.
So The Calculation above was based on assuming Clearvue has 5% of World Flat Glass sales, With World sales in 10yrs time at 25 billion Sqm, so 5% of that is 1.25 Billion Sqm per year @ $30 per sqm = $37.5B per year Royalty .
Plus the profit on selling the PV strips for 1.25 Billion Sqm of glass per year.
NB) Clearvue is hoping for most Flat Glass to be PV glass in 10 years time, but my calculation was based on just 5% of World Wide Glass being Clearvue PV Glass tech.
