This mythical greenhouse will soon be built. Pragmatically by definition a greenhouse I think indicates a structure where all the sides and the roof are some see through substrates.
There might be an assumption that solar is to work installed on a roof - you know 360 chance of getting solar rays.
Iv'e seen fully enclosed greenhouses actually in containers where they use ultra violet as light or other forms such as used in hydroponic farming where it's all generated by artificial light.
If we put two greenhouses next to each other, one powered by clear vue and the other similar with the exception that the roof was solar panels in the other - what would the capital costs be for each, what would be the ultimate quality of the products produced and which of the two would have if any excess stored capacity of power after the required job was done?
That takes care of greenhouses but when we talk buildings the entry point is going to be what is possible to build attracting sunlight. Yes the sun moves and it is possible many sides will benefit during the revolution of the sun at different times but unless the invested people in solar have a good reason and seeing this is all about sustainable and cheaper costs all to do with power needed, if the boffins can decrease the size of their panels to generate similar pound for pound effectiveness, the next question is and this is the costing I'm looking for.....
We decide to build a building. WE now have two choices. Regular build or Clear Vue build and on the sidelines the solar marketing people doing costings that go with a regular build but necessitates solar panels somehow incorporated into the fascia.
I agree that in the future a lot of people will be looking for a way - why it's taken them this long also don't know but there are going to be a lot of spreadsheets floating around promoting their respective capacity, savings and capital cost benefits.
I'm not trying to be The Angel of Death here .... more a genuine Devils Advocate.
My choice - Clear vue entailing panels, connections, special glass and who knows what or a standard approved glass for the structure with a panel attached at build or technology which will introduce after build.
Unless there are quantifiable savings and reliability proven at this stage and opposition to my previous idea, Clear Vue don't and don't want to manufacture anything .... they want to sell their technology which whilst fanciful still can't offer definitive arguments past a wish list.
Yep a great idea and from a marketing point of view if Clear Vue do attain the higher ground we could expect new buildings being marketed as Clear Vue Manufactured but they will definitely have to create and establish this space.
It really is going to become a bottomless pit unless their is a quantifiable Eureka Moment. That's a Eureka Moment based on proveable facts and figures.
