The problem is they don’t stay focused on one thing so it can be properly discussed (to the extent that our general knowledge of the subject allows).
Yes, surely there is energy loss in wires, we all know that, and there is a simple formula to work that out based on wire length, wire properties, etc.
I am a humble civil eng and know little about electrical eng. Nevertheless, the point I am making is that to begin a discussion, one needs to define the application (I want do XXX with this tech), determine whether the application is justified (is the tech intended for that application), do some preliminary analysis, do some cost analysis; and of course there are many applications for CPV tech.
But what we read here is basically like this: I discovered that there is energy loss in wires, therefore CPV is rubbish, therefore sell before it goes to 1c. People need to show some respect for product developers.
