Unsure how you're exactly calculating the payoff figure.
Point 1 - Degradation of solar panels over 20 years (not 25).
Point 2 - What are you actually powering off the windows to give this figure of 4 to 5 years payback?
Point 3 - Recouped over 30 years - windows lifespan of 20 years.
Point 4 - Do your figures include the degradation as per point 1.
Point 5 - Have you included any energy storage in these figures. Without storage it's all academic.
