Skylights like that are very popular in Eurpope and the UK, Ive seen plenty just like that used, and in some cases a bedroom dosnt have a window on a top floor and all they have is a skylight just like that.
For when Units are hard together in the dividing wall, sometimes there cant be a window on a wall, so they use a skylight, just like that.
So to be able to use the sun to charge the battery to the remote opening motor and a light, etc would make an installation possible without wiring it up, thats if the put a small battery in the frame to it.
For a skylight that is perfect for application IMO, it will be a popular item.
