Probably much too late but just in case anyone is still sorting their stuff out like I am now. You bought $10,000 of TAW stock before the merger.
Post merger your cost base for A40 is 10000 X 0.9835 = $9835 To find the PPS, just divide $9835 by the number of A40 shares you hold.
Post merger your cost base for COW is 10000 X 0.0165 = $165
So for yourself, you just need to adjsut the 10,000 figure to the total amount of money including brokerage that you invest (buys - sells) before the merger. Your final sum for each COW and A40 should sum to this figure. (In my example, 9835+165=10000). These figures are important for later when you sell your shares so you are able to determine profit/loss.
