Good news report featuring Eric commenting on how China is now starting to focus on WA Gas Suppliers to supply their mining ventures in WA.

Three companies were listed as targets for supplying gas - BHP, unsure of second (sorry - might have been Chevron) and ARC. Eric was shown commenting on the story and he spoke well and gave a good plug to the growing demand for gas and lack of existing developed fields.

Chinese companies focus on WA gas fields

Chinese steel companies who have already bought into Western Australia's iron ore projects are now looking to negotiate gas supply contracts, to ensure they have sufficient energy reserves to power those developments.

The Chinese companies are looking at the state's untapped gas fields as a source of energy.

Oil and gas analyst Ian Christie says the Chinese interest makes sense.

"It's no surprise at all that the Chinese are looking to put their foot on WA's gas reserves, after all, they're scouring the globe for practically anything," he said.
