It seems as though the split between Chameleon Mining and its former legal adviser Tony Hartnell was anything but amicable. Just weeks after Chaneleon director Benny Elias told City Beat that there were no hard feelings between the company and Atanaskovic Hartnell, a very different picture has emerged. In Sydney's Federal Court, as part of its litigation against Murchison Metals last week, the mining tiddler revealed it was locked in a dispute with its former lawyers over fees. It has made a formal application to have all costs charged by Hartnell's firm assessed. Meanwhile, Chameleon has released a note to the market maintaining its desire to have the claim against Murchison, which relates to iron ore projects in Western Australia, determined expediently. But that did'nt stop the company requesting more time to file evidence and prepare its case. The request was denied and the hearing has been set for March 30.
A good summation of the current state of play!
