    PC43,

Thanks for that info. However I have another question this time on Nitrogen in a gas reservoir.

Does it have a commercial application (whether it be fertilizer production or otherwise) when its in this form, or is just considered an uneconomic impurity?

Just as an example here is the Meda-1 gas analysis, do you think its on the ugly side of acceptable?

From page 30 of the Australian Petroleum Accumulation Report 9, Canning Basin, WA.

    Table 6. Gas analyses, DST-6C and DST-7C, Meda-1
    % by Volume

Sample From DST-6C, (2,315m) nullara Limestone

    Nitrogen 19.4%
    Oxygen 3.1%
    Hydrogen n.d.
    Carbon monoxide n.d.
    Carbon Dioxide 1.5%
    Methane 75.2%
    Alkenes n.d.
    Ethane 0.9%
    Propane 0.14%
    n-butane 0.02%
    isobutene 0.02%
    n-pentane n.d.

Sample From DST-7C, (2,009.8m) nullara Limestone

    Nitrogen 21.2%
