Absolutely with you Portfolioplus, Many comments on this site indicate that holders and others do not fully understand this type of business. I spent 8 years in debt recovery with a finance company. The difference between debtor types can be vast. Some are just plain irrecoverable and others are highly recoverable using the right techniques. Knowledge and experience is needed to know which end of the spectrum you are buying and fearless yet compassionate and adaptable skilled staff are needed to collect them. The difference in extraction between the absolute low end and the top end is 100%.

Keith has been around long enough to know how to skill his staff to achieve a result which is acceptable to all including the debt originating company. I was also attracted to PNC for the same reasons as you - I did not enjoy the manner in which my company expected its debts to be collected. I thought I was fearless and invincible only to find that many of the debtor clients held similar attributes when pressed unduly without respect.
