it sure beggars disbelief that the costs can be so vastly different on a per/km basis. surely the project would have been put out to tender??? - maybe they are tunneling through solid rock????
anyway - from the net, the following which might be of interest
"The Macquarie offer applies only to the 400-odd unit holders with fewer than 50,000 shares - now worth less than $50 - who own 2.5 per cent of the company. This will preclude about 170 retail investors who own an estimated 70 per cent stake."
guess, that at the end of the day, those 170 people do not count, in the thinking of mqg et al. comment was made in the article that because the minimum buy order was $500, then people who bought $500 worth at .1c, had to buy 500,000 units, thus giving them a liability of $500,000 for the next installment
frankly, the whole lot stinks, as it did not take long for mqg to realize that there was no value in the units (and one can assume that they knew a lot more than the mug investor)
interesting saga, to say the least. if byrnes has a litigation funder, then one assumes that the matter has been appraised by some competent lawyers. maybe at the end of the day, it might be nothing more than another greenmail attempt
