the 2010 annual report gives the location of the proposed drill locations - but the AGO drilling was about 2km south of the southern most, proposed, drill fence - or line. the relevant report often refers to magnetite targets - which was mentioned my munchekin - and is worthless.
the AGO report refers to an area of surface enrichment/ banded iron formations - and the very first hole drilled by AGO hit 180m at 59% - starting from 8m down. holes 9 10 and 11, had good hits from surface (hole 11 was the 234m @ 59%).
one wonders how gda (or their consultants) could have missed the obvious. indeed, gda have form - when they sold the parker range iron to CAZ for a song. when gda sold the iron at parker range, there was already some estimate of the tonnes at parker range - and the very first drilling by caz - and they hit the jackpot.
but then again, gda picked up the prospect , and earlier explorers missed the iron - and drilled in the wrong spot - but exploration techniques would be a lot better these days, than about 40 years ago better techniques would explain why AGO hit the jack pot - with the first round of drilling
anyway, how come gda have not announced the AGO results??? - after all, gda are entitled to a royalty stream - and shareholders should be aware of the results - after all, it would not take much to find 30m tonnes
