I bust my butt to be as environmentally conscious as I can. I moved from Sydney to the Gold Coast and have not seen one bee in my backyard for a whole year which absolutely amazes me. We have planted flowering plants but still they do not come. What is going on here?
It's the little things that are going to bring us undone. Carbon pollution increases ocean acidity which will have an overwhelming effect all up the food chain from the smallest to the largest
which ends with us.
We simply have too many people on the planet and use 3 odd worlds worth of resources currently. We know this now and done so for at least a decade or more.
Just using pesticide around your house kills the spiders, bees, lizards etc that would eat your bugs anyway. The little things such as spraying for cockroaches kills a million other animals everyday.
I don't like spiders so much but be damned if I'll kill one as he just wants a feed of nice cockroach or fly or mozzi which then provides food for a bird or gecko and on up the line.
The amount of rubbish and cigarette butts I pick up each day confounds me.
It mostly ends up in the ocean which is a large waste transfer station and is ending up like a cesspit. Only that we live thousands of miles away in the Pacific Ocean we are SOMEWHAT not seeing the vast amount of pollution that is out there.
