Unfortunately only the Board or well connected top 5 shareholders can ever create and deliver strategic corporate deals.
Employees and even CEOs can rarely if ever operate in these circles.
An example is readily available for review on the WRM thread where you will see a strategic JV with Sandfire released today.
WRM has a standout Board of grey haired elders especially their Chairman but also Lester and Smith. Note our NED Matt Gill is their MD and an absolute VIC gold stalwart but said deals don’t seem to be provided to AUL.
I have always felt that a conflict exists when Executive board members of one company sit as NEDs of another competing for deals and cash.
