Investors Should Forget Gold And Buy This Metal InsteadOn a demand-supply fundamentals viewpoint, copper has the best potential to outperform on a medium to long-term basis, said Eric Coffin, editor of HRA Advisories.
“Copper is the star for me, it’s the one I have the most comfort with [on] the supply and demand situation,” Coffin told Kitco News on the sidelines of the Metals Investor Forum in Toronto. “But if you look at the medium-long term on copper, the supply-demand situation looks fantastic if you’re an investor. There simply is not enough in the pipeline.” He added that a coming recession is likely to “whack” all of the base metals, despite copper’s strong fundamentals.
