The relationship between Vmoto and Super Soco has always been vague and one of those things never really explained to the owners of Vmoto (us shareholders) in any clear way!
I think the answer I got back in 2016 was open to varying interpretations.
My belief is that Vmoto was in some way involved with the Soco team in bringing the Soco models to reality without any obvious ownership of the models. Now the situation seems to be that Vmoto are in effect manufacturing the Soco models probably under some type of OEM agreement and Soco are using Vmoto's distribution network to take it to market. Part of this agreement seems to be that the Soco models are branded Vmoto Soco.
I believe that Vmoto would be making some type of revenue for the manufacturing and a cut on the distribution volumes. However I still think the "sales" would be recorded by Soco and not Vmoto from the limited information that has been released - otherwise it would have to have been announced as some type of JV I would have thought.
There seems to be some type of relationship between the execs of both organisations .... whether this leads to anything more concrete down the track is anyone's guess.
