IMHO
I think of it more as an example of how arrogant these guys have been in their breaching of the law. Many breach the law but these guys have shown such disdain and contempt for their share holders, the ASX , Corporate Governance and the Corporations Act. I think they believe that they are above the law and maybe as Gandel is wealthy , he thinks he is entitled to do whatever he wants
I think you are right as a good journo would find it an interesting tale.......the public don’t like the wealthy taking advantage of ordinary folk
I think the timing is good for shareholders as the public were disgusted with the comment.....” temper your sense of justice” by the ex CEO of Comm bank. This comment more than other actions infuriated people.
The public saw this as a wealthy and powerful with little regard for others
