Thanks for that Bluey. It should be a time of celebration, not accusations.
Like i said months ago, I'm currently working for a major. A drill spread where i am costs circa $500,000 a day. And where I am, looks very similar to the jungle that surrounds Malolos. They say some rigs have cost up to $900K A DAY! While its apples and oranges, to see what searching for Oil can cost, I have a very different appreciation of the work Dennis and GGX have been able to achieve with their current budget.
The major is currently completing a massive work over program. They sunk $4MIL into one single well, $4MIL is "chicken feed" to them mind you, and had pulled the plug after 8 months work. They flew specialists in from Canada, from the States, and from Australia, and you know what caused them to abandon all that effort in the end....junk, stuck downhole.
You see, we could really have something to cry about had we not got through that junk in Malolos, some people think its just a given, that you rig up, turn a drill and the world owes it to you to start spurting barrels of OIL out for your efforts.
We have over come the odds, we bucked the trend, we are in the process of becoming a producer. You know how hard it is to make that transition? We might not be there just yet, but let's not forget just how difficult this game is, even a second. If it was easy, everyone would be doing it. :)
