Consolidation needs to happen, there are far to many oil companies in Australia, all duplicating management and staff = costs.
Better to have 1 strong company with top management and top staff, than 3 average companies going nowhere much.
High oil prices will help to achieve this as the wolves are circulating. eg AED.
Thats my personal view.
