I personally do not have an issue with the increase in royalties for the DRC
I believe that some of the African states have been short changed on their royalty incomes for some time now.
And if they do have 60% of the worlds known Cobalt why should they not get a greater slice of the action!!!
After all it’s mainly the grabbing Chinese who are moving in on the battery minerals there.
I notice also that Glencore are making the most noise, Typical of the greedy self- interested Swiss!!!
And in any case, any increase in price will filter down and dilute as it reaches the end user.
