In my opinion and generalising.

yes the share price is being played.The whole market is. 

Announcements and updates will give the share price a sugar hit. anything the board or MD do is just absorbed by the(algorithms) of the greater market. those algorithms are designed to keep Anything that poses a threat to the Staus quo out of the race.

The same story is repeated in almost every Stock thread in our neighborhood and you could find it in almost every othet small cap miner. Our Board and MDs are no match for the Economoc Global control regime. (Think big) This system of control can accomadate entire exchanges in multiple countries at the same time. its called Globalism. it can absorb and correct for anything.

Who and what makes up the controllers?  Most likely Hedge funds, Massive global brokerage firms, Banks thrmselves etc.  Im not disagreeing with your approach to the board but id do beleive they are pawns in the game as well. 

What do we do about this?

Accept there is a global initiave to control the progress of competing investments.

Hedge your bets accordingly .. Find out what entity is activly manipulating report them or join a Large Short position.

 Gold vs Paper rivalry extends into other valuable metals like platinum and other emerging 'precious' metals. I say 'emerging'  because one day there will be another metal that has the properties and allure (maybe even greater allure)  to sit alongside gold silver platinum as a prefered store of wealth.
