    The guy with the bulldozer probably didn't position his business to be part of an upcoming industry that has 25 years worth of work locked in.

    Santos, origin etc have 25 year contracts where they have to supply a certain amount of gas. To do this they must drill a certain amount of wells each year, accommodate a certain amount of employees, and hire certain equipment to get the job done.
