Like ol' Gil from the Simpsons - mouth of a salesman, but never the sale?
It's a special personality who a) doesn't seem to land contracts, b) lost staff, c) gets thrown under the bus by their acquirer at the AGM, d) apparently earns no salary on performance-pay, and e) still fancies their business nous to run a blog on success, 'smarter' living and world trends.
That's why I reckon it's more like he's working for himself now, Isity is a name he owns...
