Exactly...and if your hub dies your globes are orphaned until you buy a new one and set them up all over again. Way too fiddly to me which is why I tested them and a few others as well before settling on LifX.

If your hub loses wireless connection, your globes won't work. The chances of that happening to mine is zero. I have had a few lightning storms here and had 2 globes reset themselves because of it....but they take 2 mins to reset.

KISS principle.
