Sydney - Wednesday - Oct 22: (RWE Australian Business News) - Epsilon Energy Ltd (ASX:EPS) today announced the results of recently completed ground gravity and ground magnetic surveys, which have revealed what is interpreted to be three discrete DSO (hematite or detrital) targets, and confirmed interpreted magnetite targets, at the company's Mardie Iron Ore Project in Western Australia. The project area covers 224 sq km and is located 110km southwest of Dampier in the world-class Pilbara mining region. Epsilon is targeting large-scale Magnetite and higher-grade DSO (Hematite/Detrital) deposits. The project has easy access to major regional labour and services centres of Dampier and Karratha, is close to water sources in the Robe River Delta, and is traversed by the goldfields natural gas pipeline, while Cape Preston Port and Infrastructure facilities are being constructed 35km to the northeast. Three DSO target zones have been delineated from the recently completed ground gravity survey at Mardie, with the easternmost gravity anomaly interpreted to be hematite/detrital with an exploration target independently calculated to be in the range of 28Mt to 32Mt. Managing director Mr Matt Gauci said the hematite prospectivity of these targets transformed the economics of the Mardie project. "Identifying a potentially higher-grade hematite target clearly enhances the value of the entire project while also complementing the large-scale magnetite target as each drill traverse (and hole) now has the potential of a more significant return," said Mr Gauci.
