Sorry to hear about your experience Nelson...but it happens every day to all sort of people. Even we "smarts". Every had the experience of "just about to buy a stock" or just about to "sell it". You set it all up on your screen ......wait and wait because nothing seems to be happening with the stock, you bit the bullet and press entre. Well blow me, if someone else seems to have exactly the same idea. Or did they ???? Ever thought with brokers who have internal order matching (I know Commsec say they doing it, and I'm sure the others do to), match your order first with other internal customers before your order hits the real market. Ever thought, that they may also have a system (bot controlled) that assess your buy/sell and if to their favour act on the market before yours. Brokers like Commsec, NAB, E-Trade (ANZ) etc are not excluded from trading. We think our orders go straight to the market, but they are filtered for all sorts of things (correct price range, stock availability, correct pin and lots more....it takes time.... micro-seconds), before they are activated. I'm sure most have seen the fat figure data, where 10s of thousands of bot orders were executed in milliseconds). It wouldn't take much. So perhaps your not alone Nelson, I think we all are being duped on a daily basis. Not every time but enough to make a GREAT profit...and it's legal. Just that yours is unlawful, were ours is unethical
