However, just in case you're not .... if a potential suitor were working out how many pennies to put together to mount a serious bid - based on the M/Cap - surely they wouldn't seriously be basing their price on the M/Cap figure quoted in HC.Who would be that stupid? Not only would the Board see right through that naivity (well, I would expect them to!!
)... but it would also go a decent way into confirming our previous thoughts.
No, I would expect any entity (or person) who may have seriously grand designs on our great little company (and wanted to base their bid on the M/Cap) to at least use a 20 day VWAP basis - based on the NZX's calculations - not HC's.
Again though, even then, I wouldn't expect our Board to roll over so easily with weak recommendations. Otherwise they should be prepared to answer some questions from their s/h's.
All speculation at this stage though Rocket - we could all be wrong, with no t/o bid and a s/p that "rockets" into the dollars!!
