My point is I believe a Private Equity owned CAT would buy STAT in a heartbeat. Clear 2nd in market and daylight to rest. Own top 2 companies in growing market, consolidate back end, save $ on R&D/marketing/sales etc. Would be difficult for any other newbies to gain any traction at that point. CAT under current ownership structure would struggle to make that call and then execute with funding.
