I've always had faith in this deposit due to the Antimony and have come across Mandalay Resources which has a very successful Au Sb mine at Costerfield, Vic. that exports concentrate to China.
I've been trying to figure out some comparisons
YEAR-END 2012 MINERAL RESOURCES AT COSTERFIELD, INCLUSIVE OF MINERAL RESERVES Tonnes Au Grade Sb Grade Au Sb Category (t) (AUg/t)(Sb%) (Au cont.oz) (Sbcont t)
Ore production was 25,865 tonnes in 2012, while grades were 9.08 grams per tonne (g/t) gold Au and 4.80% Sb,
from Mandalay Annual report and May 2013 relaese. http://www.mandalayresources.com/site/ywd_mandalayresourcescorp/assets/pdf/mnd_2012_annual_report_final.pdf
At Dec 2012 the JORC Mineral Resource estimate for Blue Spec and Gold Spec stood at 646,000 tonnes @ 15.8g/t Au and 1.2% Sb for 328,000 oz Au and 7,900 tonnes Sb.
The current round of NWR drilling aims to improve confidence levels and grades esp of Sb.
A better comparison can be made when the new Resource model is available for Blue Shear but with the higher gold grades compared to Costerfield, the proven sales route of Au/Sb concentrate to China, NWR could be a real winner eventually.
I recommend anyone looking at NWR take a good look at the Costerfield mine.
